Lip and Eye Make-Up Removers: L'oreal vs Lancome vs. Nivea

I now have 3 Lip and Eye Make-Up Removers: L'oreal's Gentle Lip and Eye Make-up Remover, Lancome's Bi-Facil and Nivea's Daily Essentials Double Effect Eye Make-Up Remover.

From the names, Lancome's short and sweet Bi-facil takes the cake, but which one is the best over-all?

1. Ease of Use

All of them come in a screw cap container. The Bi-facil is a deluxe size and its hole is the biggest, but I think the bigger ones have an aperture as small as the others so I'm not taking it against it. After shaking, unscrew the cap and saturate a cotton pad. I use one pad per eye. You may not be able to guess, but I've actually shaken all 3 bottles recently before taking this picture, but all of them are now in their bi-phasic state. Lancome's Bi-facil takes the longest to separate and I like to do one eye at a time so I like it best. Both Nivea and L'oreal take seconds to separate so you have to re-screw and shake it again per eye.

Winner: Lancome

2. Gentleness

All of them do alright by me, but Lancome is definitely the gentlest. L'oreal is somewhere in the middle and Nivea's is the most irritating. I prefer to rinse my eye with water after using Nivea's make-up remover while I don't with Lancome.

Winner: Lancome

3. Strength

As expected, this is the opposite of gentleness. Lancome had the most difficulty removing my eye make-up. L'oreal fared well enough, but it really didn't do as well as Nivea's Double Effect. I don't know if it's because my bottle of  L'oreal's eye remover is a lot older (as you can see, it's almost finished up) but t doesn't remove my waterproof mascara as well as Nivea does, though it destroys eye shadow and liner well enough.

Winner: Nivea

4. Price

Welp. Lancome is expensive and the only reason I have a bottle is through the kind donation of mother. Thanks mom! L'oreal costs P395 for 125 ml, but Nivea is definitely the winner at P249 for 125ml!

Winner: Nivea

Conclusion: So if you have the budget and don't use waterproof make-up, Lancome might be the one for you. But for me, the best lip and eye make-up remover is definitely Nivea's Double Effect Eye Make-Up Remover.
