XtraCare Acne Body Wash

As I’ve previously stated, I’ve been moving about and am now in a different city in the Philippines. As such, my routine was pared down significantly, as seen in my last shelf. Out of all the items there, one product is a definite repurchase: XtraCare Acne Body Wash.

Bath and Body Works: Rainkissed Leaves

I got this set a few years back and ignored it because I thought I'd get a sporty scent and I wanted to finish my current bath products before diving into a new one. I decided to open it because it's been with me for way, way too long and boy, was I surprised: Rainkissed leaves isn't your typical scent and you'll immediately love it or hate it.

At first sniff, it's fresh and just green.  After a few whiffs, it gets a bit lighter and sweeter while you lather in shower. It then turns warm and woody and musky. It's hard to describe but it seems like a scent that's both sensual and unisex at the same time.

The lotion isn't very thick and seems to have stronger middle and base notes compared to the gel. It's actually very usable for the summer since I find that my body heat reacts well to it, making it smell /feel much warmer.

I feel refreshed whenever I use this product, but at the same time, I feel like I can fall asleep.

I think people should definitely try this scent out before buying it because some people might not react as well with it. However, I'd buy this again in a heartbeat.

Review: Bench So In Love Shower Gel and Lotion

Bench So In Love Shower Gel and Body Lotion

I've finally gotten around to using one of the bath sets my relatives give me. I don't even think this is still around, but here it is - finally in use.

What I like about the body wash is that while it's flowery and sweet, it's so light, but it lasts long on the skin. Like shown - it's a bit on the watery side and comes off easily in the shower. I tend to use more than I ought, but don't have problems with washing it off after.

With the lotion, it gets a bit stronger and lasts a good bit longer - for more than 10 hours outside. The lotion absorbs equally easily. The downside is that the lotion is in a pot, so I'm usually a bit wary of double dipping.

While I'm not in love with this product, I am in like. I probably wouldn't buy it for myself since I have a whole slew of bath products to go through, but I think some people (especially those in their late teens or early twenties) can appreciate this product better than I can.

Review: Dove Go Fresh Waterlily and Fresh Mint Body Wash

I've been blogging a lot for some reason. I don't know why, but I don't expect it to last.

I'm a sucker for anything minty, so that was an automatic plus. This body wash gives you a light tingly feeling, which I love (some people might not). It doesn't come off as a mint scent, more like a "clean" scent. I feel that this is a unisex scent (as most clean, unflowery scents are to me), which I'm not too fond of.

This is a good "after PE/gym" bath product (since it makes you feel and smell clean. The scent is strong enough to work as a fragrance, so you wouldn't have to spritz anything afterwards. My problem with this is that I don't have any perfumes or lotions that would match with this, so this is doomed to be a "travel/gym/anywhere I can't bring my closet" kind of item. I'd use this as a replacement pick-me-up/wake-me-up if it weren't so. It is for this reason that I wouldn't repurchase this item, unless someone gives me a lotion or perfume that could match with this.

Don't expect this body wash to lather very well, or moisturize like a lotion.

PROS:
-minty feeling
-clean scent
-not expensive

CONS:
-doesn't lather well*
-doesn't moisturize well**

*lather is not correlated to cleaning power. It just feels and looks better.
**for a dove product (maybe I'm not using enough?).
