I had previously mentioned that there was a Belo sunscreen I liked more than the body sunscreen, and it's the brand's Tinted Sunscreen.
I actually tried it years and years ago and wasn't a big fan but how things have changed. As of now, it's perfect for my need for a lightweight base. To my surprise, the shade was different from what I remembered and was just right for me. I finished the tubes I purchased at a local department store and bought a replacement online.
To my surprise, the tubes I got were slightly different in color from my previous purchase (as you may be able to see).
I therefore decided to see if there were any changes to the product and found that the ingredient list was the same but expiration date was different. On applying, I could see a visible difference between the two. On initial application, the older one (top) is lighter than the newer tube (bottom).
However, once applied, the older one is actually darker and warmer while the newer version is cooler and lighter.
You can see it while partially blended but one hits more yellow and the other more red.
Fortunately, both shades work on my face once thinned out, but I can't really layer the latter. I get light to medium coverage previously and light coverage now. My face also looks a bit redder than I like once I spend time out. Both tints last 8-12 hours so formulation seems similar otherwise and it makes for a good base for everyday use.
It seems like I've run into the same problem I had previously. I'm going to finish this tube again but I think I'll try something with a definite shade range after.
All in all, decent product but the shade difference definitely changes things. And without testers, I'd rather not risk getting something even mor removed from either.
This sunscreen often goes on sale for 2 for around Php 500.
